the Facts BY BELINDA BREMNER On the film front from the folks at the Illinois Film Office comes word that Barber Shop is "beyond the definite maybe stage" for January. But presently, and for good cause, folks are not in the mood to travel. There was some talk about Dustin Hoffman coming here in March for Personal Injury but he has announced that he will not be traveling. Maybe this can keep film production in the U.S., but it also means it stays in L.A. We have to wait and watch. Jane Alderman Casting booked Joe Dempsey for "What About Joan." Chicago Casting Center is casting Fences for Madison Rep. And A Winters Tale and Working Song for Missouri Rep are being cast by Claire Simon Casting. The office is also working on a spot for PrimeCo. Claire and Theresa were out in Los Angeles for the Hardball opening and were scheduled to return on the morning of Sept. 11th. When they realized there was going to be no flying for a while, they opted to drive back to Chicago. Now theyre back and you can drop all and any of those school supplies for the kids in Englewood off at her office. Hearts of the Arts will be sure the kids get them. Pens, pencils, notebooks, paper, backpacks (no blue or red) all are welcome and much appreciated. On the agent front, Lilys sends word that commercials were booked by clients Johnny Knight, Sheldon Kurtz, Joe, Jennifer and Jamie Hernandez, John Jordan, Patrick OBrien and Perry Williams. Rita Reed booked an industrial. The "Lucky Seven" for October are: Pedro Gaylan, Dominique Gaylan, Brittany Gaylan, Amanda Gaylan, Cheyenne Gaylan, Arianna Burrell and Dennis Fritch. And everyone at Lilys "would like to express that our thoughts are with all of our talents that have moved to or are working in New York. We hope you are safe. Please give us a call. Our prayers are with you." As always, Peace.
